Phoenix ND Education are specialists in alternative provision for pupils with additional needs or those who are unable to attend a school environment.
We work closely with all stakeholders to develop a bespoke curriculum plan that fits with the child's learning style and needs.
Phoenix associates are matched to the child and then introduced to them at their pace and in a place they feel safe.
Whilst we believe that learning is invaluable, it is the relationship between tutor and child that enables this to happen. All Phoenix associates prioritise establishing a trusting relationship at the beginning of their work with their family.
We provide education to students at each stage of their school years.
Our associates are trained to deliver education to:
Our teachers and Learning Support Assistants deliver sessions on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis depending upon provision outlined in the EHCP. This can be delivered in-person or online.
We offer a range of National Curriculum subjects, vocational qualifications, Functional Skills, Life-Skills, and Forest Schools, alongside other programmes for pupils who need a more tailored approach.
We understand that parenting a child with SEN can be both daunting and confusing. EHCP's are often difficult to understand, implement and review as parents receive little to no advice on this.
Our EOTIS managers and EHCP advisors works closely with parents and carers to help them access the knowledge and resources they need to support their child’s learning journey. We offer advise on assessment of needs, understanding SEN within school, funding options and how to access support services.
Our team has extensive experience requesting, writing and reviewing Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCP), working with schools and Local Authorities to ensure delivery of special educational, health and social care needs.

Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils have access to a work area where they can sit as a small group or on an individual basis. We deliver work set by the commissioning school or as planned by our on-site staff.
Pupils can move away from the group to work directly with staff or independently. Whilst we have a set time for lunch, snacks and drinks are accessible for regulation throughout the day.
A dedicated space for pupils to engage in opportunities to relax, socialise and explore friendships with their peers
At Meden Vale, our nurture curriculum develops creativity and uses art, movement and dance for sensory regulation. (Our sensory play doh making sessions and dinosaur cutters are always a huge hit!)
The nurture curriculum focuses on reducing anxiety, increasing social communication and developing positive relationships with staff and peers. We provide opportunities to experience activities in our base and out in the community.
Our pupils are working significantly below age-related expectations and often have trauma arising from mainstream learning experiences. Our curriculum encourages students to explore their ideas, extend their thinking and learn new skills in a safe environment.
Baking/cooking is an amazing sensory experiences and also develops fine-motor and life skills. We prepare food for our lunch, to celebrate special days and to understand what a healthy lifestyle is.
